About the AES Checklists

BE A CITIZEN MONITOR of the first AUTOMATED ELECTION in the PHILIPPINES
EU-CenPEG Project 3030 is providing a set of Automated Election System (AES) CHECKLISTS to all poll watchers and monitoring groups concerned with the AES and the May 2010 polls.  The checklists will guide the poll watchers and monitors with the important steps to critically waatch in the AES before and during election day. 

Pre-election checklists are for the following:  1.  Delivery of the ballot boxes and PCOS machines.  2. Delivery of the ballots; 3) storage of the ballots, ballot boxes and machines; 4. Final Testing and Sealing.  For Election day, the checklists are for the 1) Voting day and 2) Canvassing.

Each checklist contains a list of questions pointing to possible problems and irregularities that may arise on every step of the pre-election and election process.  The questions are answerable by Yes or No.   

The checklists also point to safeguards or remedies that a poll watcher can do against observable problems and pointers on how to bring these to the attention of the election officers. All checklists are downloable on the website: www.eu-cenpeg.com and at all other election monitoring websites.    

Project 30-30 checklists are available for all to use in  a group or individually for those who have not been trained to use the Checklists, just register with Project 30-30 at register_project3030@gmail.com.
